Love Offering 2006

Partnering with Zimbabwe and Mozambique

Following the global ministries team's recommendation that the North Central New York Conference enter a partnership agreement with the conferences in the Zimbabwe and Mozambique episcopal areas, the conference council on April 1, supported bringing the resolution to the annual conference for a vote to establish this partnership.

Love Offering 2006 for Zimbabwe, Mozambique, and the Task Force on Peace with Justice in Palestine/Israel

Then to help fund the partnership and support the mission and ministry of these conferences in Africa, and to support the efforts of the Palestinian Task Force to raise the social justice issues in Palestine, all of the churches of the North Central New York Annual Conference will be asked to take a special Love Offering prior to the 2006 annual conference session. Like last year, the lay member of the annual conference is asked to then bring the offering to be offered during a worship service during the conference. This year's offering will be divided with one third going to Zimbabwe, one third to Mozambique, and one third to the Palestinian Task force. Materials for bulletin inserts and posters will be developed for the pre-conference briefings and to be downloaded from the conference web site.
