The mission: To lead, equip, share.
The North Central New York Conference
seeks to fulfill Christ's charge to us
in the Great Commandment and the Great Commission
by loving our Lord and our neighbor, sharing the message of Christ,
baptizing and teaching new disciples.
As an annual conference, we are theologically and culturally diverse. Despite being predominately Euro-American and middle class, there are considerably marked differences between the ways of life of those from the great Syracuse metropolitan areaand the values and lifestyles of those in the Southern Tier. Pastors with a calling to inner city ministry are especially needed! Urban centers include those from diverse racial and ethnic backgrounds. Ministry opportunities await those who sense a calling and possess the gifts for pastoral ministry in upstate New York.
If you are from another annual conference or another area of the country, why would you consider coming to the North Central New York Conference? You might come if you have a vision of servant leadership, if you have a strong sense of calling to serve the people of God, and if you desire to be a strong spiritual leader and visionary with much to offer a church, community and annual conference.
Thank you for your interest in the North Central New York Conference! We are a conference of strong collegial relationships, reverence for tradition and openness to the new winds of the Spirit. I have known our conference to be one that encourages the development of all lay and clergy together, to their fullest potential in Christ.
It would be a joy to share the journey of faith with you!
