Thought:
In our society today, we sometimes tend to be a little, well, material, shallow, and downright selfish and superficial. Sometimes we give our possessions greater value than we give faith, hope, and love.
God doesn't care what we have, except those things which he practically hands to us on a silver platter- they're ALMOST too good to be true. Almost. Who is his right mind would unconditionally love US, and allow US to depend on him for whatever we need?
Well, there's reason he's God, and we're not- and we should cherish every precious thing he gives to us, especially the strength he provides. The fact that he is God and we're not is a testament to the fact that he can easily clear up any superficial problem we may encounter. I'm not saying God will take that impossible math test for you- I think we've all figured out by now that that doesn't happen. However, pray to God for strength to work through these seemingly difficult situations, and you'll be astounded to look back at the ease with which you went through them.
Prayer:
Dear Father, give me the power of your strength as I conquer the small earthly obstacles that keep me from your eternal love. Thank you.
