1 Corinthians 9:24-26

"Do you not know that in a race all the runners run, but only one gets the prize? Run in such a way as to get the prize. Everyone who competes in the games goes into strict training. Therefore I do not run like a man running aimlessly; I do not fight like a man beating the air."

At one time in our faith we were all the man beating the air when we were trying to run. Something can happen in your life and you leave God for a little while. You then become the man beating the air. Even when we leave God for a little while, He is always with us. As long as we keep moving our arms and legs we will be able to run with God again. And when our time comes we all eventually win the prize. Say you're running a race at a school track meet. You leave the start line with everyone else, but you all finish at different times, but you all cross the finish line. You could be the last person across the finish line, but you still smile because you've finished. The same thing can happen with your faith. You follow God's ways everyday and you run in the way He wants you to. You may not always get the first place prize, but you can smile becuase you are with God. So remember God is always with you, ready to lead you back to His ways, and there are many other people running the race to the Kingdom of God, so join in and run with them because one day we will all win the prize.

Even if you don't use this just please let me know what you think of it before I present it to my church

Lyndsey shares this poem with us:

There Comes A Time

There comes a time in life for me,
that I can become a friend you see.

There are so many things I wanted to say,
but my mind got in the way.

There comes a time I have to let go,
of feelings inside I needed to show.

Many things were never brought up,
but as time goes by they seem to pop up.

Today I feel I'm being Loved,
as I chose to be with the Lord above.

He takes me in His Heart of Love,
and gently greats me like a Dove.

The streaks in the clouds when the Sun shines,
means that He is close-by and meets our minds.
