How to pack health and school kits

1. Boxes are prefered for the kits, with all the same type of kits being packed in each box clearly labeled with the number and type of kits enclosed.  Note: Most of these boxes are being moved by volunteers not Olympic weightlifters, please pack them into medium sized boxes. 

2. Pack them solidly (like it will be going on the bottom of the moving truck.)  Note: You can get four more health kits into the box if you take a moment to let the excess air out of the plastic bags. 

3. Do not wrap the health kit items in the towel and tie with a string, or else someone will have to open it later, unwrap it and repack it.  All items should be visible to the persons handing the kits out to the recipients to make sure all items are included and nothing extra has been added.

4. Do not pack the one dollar donation for shipment in the kit or in the boxes.  Have the church treasurer gather all of the dollars and any extra donations for transportation and send a check for the total amount made out to: "NCNY Annual Conference UMC."  Mark in the memo line: "UMCOR Kits Shipment Dollars #1707" and mail it to the conference office.

5. If you have extra items, you can keep them until next time you will be doing this or send them along in a bag or bags to be put together at one of the collection sites or at the warehouse with other items from other churches.
